Our Story

Founded in 2015, the Community Organization for Rights & Empowerment (CORE) was established by a coalition of community leaders, activists, and concerned citizens who recognized the urgent need for a unified voice in the fight for civil rights and social justice across South Carolina.

What began as a small grassroots movement has grown into a powerful force for change, bringing together thousands of individuals committed to creating a more just and equitable society.

Our Mission

CORE is dedicated to advancing civil rights, social justice, and community empowerment through advocacy, education, and grassroots organizing. We work tirelessly to address systemic inequities and empower individuals to advocate for their rights.

What We Stand For

  • Equality: We believe all people deserve equal rights, opportunities, and treatment under the law
  • Justice: We fight for fair and impartial systems that serve all members of our community
  • Empowerment: We provide tools, knowledge, and support to help community members advocate for themselves
  • Unity: We bring diverse voices together to create collective power for change

Our Team

CORE is led by a diverse team of dedicated professionals, community organizers, and volunteers who bring decades of combined experience in civil rights advocacy, community organizing, education, and policy reform.
